This is the overhead view of the locomotive shop at the Union Pacific Albina Yard in north Portland, as seen from the Interstate 405 Fremont Bridge.

This view is available to the general public just once each year, on the day of the annual Bridge Pedal bicycle event.

The ride, sponsored by Portland's Providence Health Systems, brings in nearly 20,000 bicyclists and walkers to travel across all 10 of the city's bridges across the Willamette River.

The Fremont Bridge also crosses the BNSF Fallbridge sub on the river's west bank. The Interstate 5 Marquam Bridge, on the south side of downtown, provides views of the UP, former SP main through east Portland as well as the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.
