Smokin' in the Rail Yard...

Amtrak P42-9DC #67 is smoking it up as it gets underway from the depot in Vancouver, Wash. with "Cascades" #506.

The unit is in "push" mode with NPCU #90340 leading on the opposite end of the train's TALGO set.

Amtrak P42s are now among the regular power in "Cascades" service, along with F59PHIs 465-470. Since the trains debuted in 1999, Amtrak P32-8BWHs and Amtrak California F59PHIs have also made occasional appearances.
