King (Tut) of the Road...

Even ancient Egyptian kings know the ease and comfort of traveling on Amtrak...

F59PHI #470 had shed its regular "Cascades" paint scheme for this colorful garb to promote the 2012 exhibit of King Tutenkhamen artifacts at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle.

The "King" was trailing on #507 as it passed the Oregon Pacific rail yard in southeast Portland. The yard was being reconstructed as part of the larger project that included the new Oregon Rail Heritage Center.
