Sunset along the B&MLRR grade approaching the "Beavertail"

I made this image during a very light rain (and while being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitos) of the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad grade looking toward the "Beavertail" (the locals' name for the little spit sticking out into the Passagassawakeag River) from just beyond the site of the long gone "Upper Bridge" at MP 1.25 just inland from Belfast, ME. This spot on the B&ML's 33-mile line from Belfast to Burnham Junction is virtually unchanged in appearance from the way it looked when the road opened in 1870.
