All Aboard With Operation Lifesaver...

North Carolina DOT baggage-lounge "Albemarle Sound" sports a North Carolina Operation Lifesaver logo on its flank as it awaits departure from Raleigh, NC on "Piedmont" #75.

The car is part of the NCDOT fleet of heritage rolling stock that forms the trainsets for the two state-supported Raleigh-Charlotte round trips. It is a former Amtrak lounge that was originally built as a U.S. Army hospital car.
