END OF THE LINE - NH AT CAMPBELL HALL

One of the features of this 1955 fan trip was going a few miles past Maybrook to reach the end of the New Haven's owned track at Campbell Hall, NY. The trip was billed as covering 476 round trip miles from Providence. The schedule was 13 hours 18 minutes which is fast running when you consider an hour stop at the Maybrook yard, a photo stop on the Poughkeepsie Bridge, and passenger stops at key stations including the one at New Haven where our cars were uncoupled from "The Murray Hill" to make up the six car special behind a single ALCO PA-1.

Photographed by Edward Ozog, June 26, 1955.

Railroad: New Haven.
