"THE SENATOR" AT CENTRAL FALLS, RI

Today the westbound joint NH-PRR "SENATOR" to Washington, D.C. has all Pennsylvania cars including an observation car with a lighted name sign on the square end. I shot this from the Central St. footbridge in Central Falls, RI which was a favorite train watching spot for me, particularly the landing on the east side which made a perfect height observation deck. The old Central Falls station that was replaced by the 1916 grade crossing elimination project once stood roughly on a point on the track that the PA-1 and FM- C Liner are about to pass over. The rear of the train is leaving Boston Switch.
