CN's South Devon Yard

RS-14 # 1768 has just arrived at South Devon, N.B., which is located on Fredericton's northside. The train has travelled over the Nashwaak sub from McGivney, which connected to the Halifax- Montreal main. At this time, the yard is only a bare shadow of what was once a very bustling yard. I hung around here as a kid and at the time, a yard switcher was kept very busy with shunting cars etc. CN closed this yard in April 1995 and thus ended train services in the New Brunswick's Capital City.

A recreational trail now is located on the same alignment as the train in this photo and to the left, a large lumber storage is present.
