Inside the Roundhouse

Savannah & Atlanta Railway GP35 #2715 is one of the most notable residents of the Georgia State Railroad Museum. The locomotive was built in the mid-1960s and has the high short hood characteristic of diesel hood units built for the Southern Railway.

The museum, on the west end of downtown Savannah, is built around the 1855-vintage Central of Georgia roundhouse and shop complex.
