In the Alamo City

The Cimarron River is a former St. Louis-San Francisco (Frisco) 14-roomette/4-double bedroom sleeper built in 1947 for the railroad's St. Louis-Tulsa "Meteor".

After the Frisco discontinued passenger service in the 1960s, the car was sold to Canadian National, where it operated as the Rainbow Falls.

The now privately-owned car is laying over at the Amtrak station in San Antonio, Texas.
