New York & Lake Erie RR Dayton, NY

This is a connection between the original Erie RR Dunkirk line and the Erie RR Buffalo-Jamestown line.

It was put in by the NY&LE in the early 1980s to connect their two lines.

This is the view from Rt 353 in Dayton.

The line to Cattaraugus has not been operated since 2009. (?)

A washout has the line out of service.

Two NS boxcars are stranded in Cattaraugus.
