VTR B&R action -- Friday October 09, 2015

"Rescue Engine #301" drifts northward late in the afternoon of Friday October 09 on a "mission of mercy." The southbound B&R turn (305-207) with a rare engine problem had issues earlier in the day at Emerald Lake and shortly thereafter was unable to proceed past the Arlington station as it stalled on the grade due to leaves and wet rail. The added power provided by the (LHF) 301 will prove to adequately rescue the waiting train to continue its further adventure to North Bennington.
