MEC 305 leads 618 with a massive "tonnage" train east through Hoosick Falls NY on Friday September 26. AD-1 picked up 80 VTR interchange cars earlier in North Bennington Vt. and is challenged with only two engines to drag the consist back at least as far as North Adams -- MOED was recrewed at Hoosick Junction and will be hot on AD-1's tail. The last rays of the sun on a beautiful fall day catch the resplendent colors of a neighboring trackside maple tree near the crossing.
