Next Stop Wonderland... Sort of..

The last pair of Hawker-Siddeley "Blue Belle's" are alive and well in great condition at Seashore Trolley Museum. The pair of 0600's were in-service today providing rides on Transit Weekend at Seashore.
This particular pair was 'cherry picked' for Seashore, since these cars went through a partial rebuild, as most of these cars corroded out due to the nearby salty sea air.

This is the 'youngest' piece of equipment at Seashore, and this fairly piece of modern machinery can be taxing on Seashore's power equipment which was designed for a much older equipment roster.

To the left of the train is "Tower C", which was used for switching on the Boston Elevated, Railway between trains to and from the Charlestown El, and the Atlantic Avenue El.

It is great to see this last surviving Blue Line cruiser kept up ! All the remaining 600's had the good parts removed to keep the current fleet of similar Orange Line trains rolling, and the remains were all scrapped.
