Deadheading Dome...

Amtrak's only dome car, former "Great Dome" lounge #10031, visited the Pacific Northwest for the annual "Snow Train" excursions from Seattle to Leavenworth, Wash.

The dome, along with a Horizon coach, arrived in Seattle Nov. 28 on "Empire Builder" #7.

The train, sponsored by Seattle-area agency Alki Tours, uses the dome lounge and a mix of Amfleet and Horizon cars that Amtrak brings to the Pacific Northwest for extra Thanksgiving weekend trains in the "Cascades" corridor.
