From Canada To Oregon...

Oregon Pacific RR GMD1 #1413 is the newest and largest of the diverse locomotives found on this Oregon short line.

It was originally built for the Canadian National in 1959 as its #1045 and, as built, included A-1-A trucks for duty on CN's network of light-axle-load branch lines.

CN rebuilt it in 1989 with its current B-B trucks, and the OPR acquired it in 2010 From Western Rail.

It is shown at OPR's open house on July 4, 2012 at the Oaks Park station in southeast Portland.

Photographed by Thomas McCann, July 4, 2012.
