Cascading Through Chehalis

Amtrak F59PHI #466 leads "Cascades" #500 north through Chehalis, Wash. enroute to Seattle. This train originated in Eugene, Ore. and is one of two Eugene-Seattle round trips.

The TALGO set is one of five consists currently in "Cascades" service, three owned by Washington State and two by Amtrak. Two new sets joined the fleet in 2013; these trains, owned by Oregon DOT, were assembled at the TALGO plant in Milwaukee, Wisc.
