MMA#2006, #VB-2, & #8569 at Kidders (MP 1), Searsport, ME MMA#2006 (GE B23-7), #VB-2 (Remote Control caboose), & #8569 (GE B39-8E) rounding the "Horseshoe" Curve at Kidders (MP 1) behind Cook's Crossing, Searsport, ME. The almost 180 degree, 2,600 foot long curve carries the line around the tip of Long Cove which separates Searsport from Sears Island. This is the former Bangor & Aroostook main line into the Searsport yard and docking facility on the Penobscot Bay, the southernmost point on the road. Photographed by Bruce Cooper, July 10, 2011.
