Pan Am MOAY at Fisherman's Lane (Schaghticoke), NY

After being recrewed at 11:45 am at Hemstreet Park, NY, Pan Am MOAY sails over the frozen lake at Fisherman's Lane, NY at 12:09 pm on Saturday, 01/23/10. The train arrived Hemstreet Park as NS 934 at 9:50 am. Railfans are advised that chasing trains over Pan Am is MUCH more difficult with the upgraded track. Formerly, trains required at least 45 minutes to run from Hemstreet Park to Fisherman's Lane. On this day, only 10 minutes elapsed from the time the train cleared the crossing at Hemstreet Park (Route 67) until the power crossed Fisherman's Lane. I literally made it with only seconds to spare! Railfans should also note that the west side of Fisherman's Lane (i.e., the side facing Mechanicville) is now posted "No Parking".
