NS 934 eases onto the ex-B&M trackage at Mechanicville, NY at 9:42 am on a beautiful (for January!) Saturday, 01/23/10. On the head end are 10 autoracks for Ayer, MA. The train will be recrewed at Hemstreet Park, NY for the remainder of its trip over Pan Am. Using Hemstreet Park for the recrew seems to be the current operating pattern. In the days when only the 938 operated, the train was split at Crescent, NY (located a few miles east of Mohawk Yard) into blocks for Kenwood and Ayer.
