Central Vermont N-5a 464 - MY FIRST CAB RIDE - 1954

When the fan trip from Boston arrived in Willimantic I dashed up the track to where 2-8-0 464 was waiting to replace the NH units for the run up to Brattleboro. I got this shot and joined some other railfans who had climbed into the cab. The ride back to the train was short but memorable. It is interesting that two weeks later Number 464 would also head a fan trip from New London to Amhearst, that one originating in New Haven.
