Norfolk Southern Freight at "Iron Bridge", Marysville, PA

A southbound Norfolk Southern freight slowly eases under the "Iron Bridge" and enters Enola Yard at Marysville, PA at 2:07 pm on Saturday, June 27, 2009. The day proved to be quite busy. A total of 27 trains were seen between 11:00 am and 6:30 pm. The only sign that a severe recesssion was still gripping the nation was the fact that many trains were very short - some having as few as 30 cars. Even more telling was that only one autorack train was seen the entire day - and it was only 36 cars long!
