July 2007 Meeting and Rail excursion with the Downeast Scenic Railroad my father and I took a speedster from Ellsworth to Green Lake. This date makes the 126 Anniversary, that the first train ran from Calais to Brewer, Maine. The group is in the process of restoring the line and someday plan to run a passenger train From Ellsworth to Green Lake and so on. for more info check out: http://www.downeastscenicrail.org. + http://www.downeastscenicrail.org/
This day trip was a blast thanks a Million guys for the hard work already done.
The Nerail site says Downeast Scenic but just add "Railroad" that's the full name of this Rail Preservation Group in Maine.
