LIRR #14

This is a wooden ex LIRR wooden caboose, class N52A. LIRR #14, was built in 1927. Used by the LIRR into the early 1960s till it was sold to the Branford Electric Railway, then sold to a private individual who stored it at the Valley RR at Essex, CT.
The Railroad Museum of Long Island, bought the caboose, and then had shipped by trucked back to her orinal home on Long Island. The caboose and truck also went via ferry accross the Long Island Sound to her present location at the Museums Greenport, NY location.
