Spruce Creek Bridge, Haines Falls, NY, Catskill & Tannersville

View facing east of the site of the former C&T (narrow gauge) bridge over Spruce Creek, east of Laurel House Station. This bridge was dismantled about 1920. Site is a few hundred feet north of Kaaterskill Falls, and about 50 feet north of the standard gauge U&D bridge, which was dismantled in 1940. The C&T was nicknamed "The Huckleberry", for the fruit which grew plentifully along its right-of-way.
