CR nears Providence

It's hard to see, but a "jack," as in jack-o'-lantern, still protects the route to Union Station's track 4 in Providence. It's displaying restricting. Just like the crews of 10 years earlier, the C&E will take the string onto track 6 west of the station, run around it, and drag it off to Northup Avenue Yard. No more hump at the yard; that's long gone. Even the yard is a shadow of its former self. Only a few tracks remain of what used to be at least 20 tracks wide and a mile long.
