Captured U-Boat 2

Scott Wisner gets down to bare metal on the 2685, while Hal Reiser works on the roof, another one that likes high places. Upon receipt of our letter, Mr. Crane had the 2685 pulled from the dead line, restored missing cab appurtenances, and replaced the "dummy" trucks with good, motored trucks. The locomotive was officially donated to the museum in Nov., 1985 and arrived at Cedar Hill in New Haven on Dec. 27, 1985. All at no cost to the museum, that's why we call it our "22 cent" locomotive, the cost of the stamp to mail the letter!

Photographed by BandAfan, August 30, 1987.
Added to the photo archive by Carl Weber Jr., May 7, 2004.
Railroad: CVRM/RMNE.
