VTR Southbound Snowstorm on the B&R -- Sunday November 20, 2016Just one of the many obstacles on the B&R this Sunday that deserved the attention of a long-handled axe during the prolonged snowstorm that concentrated on the local capital region. 432-303-310-311 did the honors bringing 38 cars south from Rutland in the rotten weather that dumped heavy wet snow from 3" to a foot and 1/2. After chopping their way south and getting a recrew at North Bennington, the light power headed to Hoosick Junction to grab 40+ cars left by PanAm on the mainline double track. The snow is expected to last into Monday with strong winds to boot.
