On arrival at Mechanicville, BM-3's crew immediately handed me off to the crew of a train, about to depart eastward, powered by three Erie Lackawanna units. Home was the second unit, a forward-facing Alco Century. Stayed awake until Hoosac. All I recall from the rest of the overnight run was the climb from East Deerfield to East Gardner being a never-ending grind. Arrival back in Somerville was about 23 hours after departure.

Excellent photo! Maybe this is B&M's PB-2, the continuation of Dereco's D&H PB-1 / EL NE-100?
