MEC 306 Leads PO-3 in Freeport

PO-3 returns from Brunswick with MEC 306 - BM 326 and 24 loaded cement cars from the Rockland Branch.

This is the second interchange with FGLK in Brunswick this week, the busiest I have seen things since Pan Am was serving Grimmel's on a regular basis back in 2015!

They are seen here passing under the I-295 overpass in Freeport, Maine as they approach the crossing at Hunter Rd.

That is good news. Few people know that cement is still produced in New England.thanks to a large high-grade limestone deposit that has been quarried since colonial times. See: https://railfan.com/finger-lakes-takes-maines-rockland-branch/
