On Wednesday I took a trip over to Voorheesville, NY to see what was going on. I had heard the project to reconnect the old Albany Main from Delanson to CSX at Voorheesville has begun and I wanted to see for myself any progress. The line has been cleared of brush and ribbon rail has been laid along the right of way all the way up to a couple of hundred yards from the CSX line at Voorheesville. Once this connection is rebuilt, NS will be able to run trains from Binghamton onto CSX and run east into New England.
