NA-1 in Milford, NH Still Sitting After Derail

Here is NA-1 and 1 of the 2 cars that derailed about 1/4 mile back from here, near St. Joseph's medical building. It happened late Tuesday and Hulcher came and had the 2 cars back on track by Wednesday Morning. However about 40 yards of track were destroyed and the rebuilding started. After a day off Thursday somewhere else, the rebuilding started again today. The other 5 cars are behind the derailment site. The train still has to go to Hendrix Wire with 4 hoppers so hopefully, the track will get done today.

Did the CSX geometry train survey that stretch?

No....the track is 5mph and in tough shape. They did replace every 5th tie about 2 years ago but NO ballast so the track sits mostly on dirt which becomes soft mud.

They finally broke trail to Hendrix sometime during the day today 1/25! I wonder if they made it without derailing again somewhere else in the next couple of miles.
