DL&W Station at Scranton - 1970 - 1

My Dad and I rode a High Iron Excursion round trip led by NKP 759 over EL lines between Hoboken and Binghamton on Memorial Day weekend in 1970. On Saturday we route taken was the ex-Erie Delaware division to Binghamton while the return trip on Sunday used the ex-DL&W through Scranton and the Poconos. Here the Berkshire is being serviced and the passengers were able to de-train to tour the once magnificent facility which was idled when EL's last long distance train, the Lake Cities was discontinued in January 1970.
