Strange Interlude at Kingston Station #2

AMTK Acela 2011 eases train 2173 to a stop at KIngston Station alongside AMTK 619 (ACS-64) and the crippled equipment that was apparently still operating as train 2154, though without passengers (2154 shows an arrival time in Boston 4 hrs 53 minutes late, but apparently if officially arrived and completed its schedule)
<BR>A look at the schedule leads me to believe the crew on 2154 would normally return west on 2173, but they could get no farther than Kingston Station before meeting 2173. 2173 stopped long enough for a crew change, with an extra Boston crew taking the 619 back to Boston, and 2173's rightful crew taking over for the rest of their run. From my position on the track 2 platform I could not see the exchange take place, but I cannot otherwise account for the delay after 2173 stopped. Both trains departed Kingston Station at about the same time, which also makes sense after a crew swap.
