Bulleid West Country class Pacific 34028 Eddystone, and Bulleid Merchant Navy class Pacific 35006 P & O SNC reverse towards the consist they were about to tail, during the steam festival.

Great looking pair of locomotives. I consulted Wikipedia to see what the difference between these 2 Bulleid Pacifics is as they appear to be identical. I learned that West Country class axle loading was 5 tons lighter than the Merchant Navy class' 21 ton axle loading permitting use on more routes that couldn't accommodate the Merchant Navy class. I also learned these locomotives were nicknamed "Spam Cans" ! Great set of photos!
