During my interlude waiting for the return trip of the single-coach Boston-Albany connection at the Albany-Rennsalaer station I saw the north and southbound D&H Laurention as well as a couple of trains employed in the the NY-Buffalo "Empire Service" The engineer, fireman, and conductor/trainman of a recrew is on the platform watching the approach of their train from New York.
