Rutland Revival

Green Mountain Railroad (former D&H) S-4 #303 and (former Rutland) RS-1 #405 and caboose leave the North Walpole NH engine house crossing the original channel of the Connecticut River on the beautiful old Cheshire RR stone arch bridge into Bellows Falls Vermont on a cold New Year's Eve in 1968.The rocky slopes of Fall Mountain loom in the background. Also visible is the back of the roundhouse and the still functioning wooden coaling tower used for the original operating Steamtown collection. The engines will soon cross the B&M diamond and pick up freight bound for Rutland.
