CSRX 216 in Glen

Here was the Conway Scenic's "Mountaineer" from Saturday, 11/6, making it's way back east to North Conway Station from Crawford's with an excursion that offered riders clear views and perfect blue skies to take in some incredible scenery along the way on the famous former Maine Central Mountain Division.

This was in Glen, as the train was crossing over the Ellis River. The historic train station, Glen, (Glen & Jackson) is very slightly to the east of here, and while it still stands, is repurposed for other uses. Glen is an unincorporated village in the town of Bartlett,

Conway Scenic's high short hooded GP35 #216e and GP9 1751w were the power lineup of the day, pulling six coaches.
