CR 4112 Pulling West Past Classic East Brookfield Depot

CR 4112, CR 4103 (SD80MAC's) and a 3rd unit start their westbound mixed freight after the eastbound mixed freight for which they had been waiting has cleared onto the double track extending east from East Brookfield to Charlton. It is about to pass the classic H H Richardson-designed depot which sadly did not survive a Sept., 2010 fire. Of course by that date the trains passing by were operated by CSX, not Conrail any more.

Photographed by Warren Beckwith, March, 1997.

Railroad: Conrail.
