EL #1 Stops at Owego, NY

One of my first RR photos taken with a basic Kodak Instamatic using print film shows the Chicago-bound Phoebe Snow making its scheduled stop at Owego at 18 minutes after 3pm, likely in the summer of 1966 before the US PO pulled the Phoebe's mail contract. Today's consist includes an express boxcar, RPO, and a couple of mail cars followed by a couple of coaches, a diner, a sleeper, and the tavern lounge observation car.

Photographed by John Barlow, 1966.
