Fallen Flag Freight Cars at North Chili in the late '70s - 2The white box car with friction bearings is an Atlantic & Western boxcar (A&W is now part of the multi-billion $ G&W conglomerate). The resplendent blue box car is Minneapolis Northfield & Southern which is now part of CP. And lastly there are a pair of jade green PC boxcars trailed by an ex-Pennsy caboose. PC was absorbed by Conrail and then split into CSX and NS pieces. In my mind, it seems like freight trains were more interesting 40+ years ago.
