CSX Empty Hopper Train in the Narrow Passage

CSXT 6427 (GP40-2) lead a Road Slug converted from a GP30 and a 3rd unit on a westbound empty hopper train heading through the Narrow Passage a short distance west of Buchanan, VA. The Narrow Passage is a natural gap occupied by the James River, CSX's ex C&O James River
freight line, and VA 43, all pretty much side by side. A short distance east of this photo location , I 81 crosses high over the whole valley. The Buchanan off-ramp connects to a different road.
According to the CSX roster at the Diesel Shop this lead unit never existed; this photo begs to differ on that point.
