CSX GP40-2 and Road Slug Switching Clifton Forge, VA

CSXT 6451 (GP40-2) and partner CSXT 2323 (Road Slug) switch the yard in front of the Clifton Forge, Va depot. Clifton Forge was still, 1995, the western junction of the former C&O passenger main and the C&O low grade James River freight line. Today the passenger line is the Buckingham Branch railroad; the freight line remains CSX. The 2323 was the only one of these former GP30 and GP35 road slugs to be converted from a former C&EI GP30. Neither unit here remains on the roster today;
