Eastbound SP Stack Train at Aztec, AZSP 7815 (B30-7) leads a 4-unit on consist on an eastbound SP stack train at Aztec, AZ, passing a reminder of the years when Espee trains through here were steam powered and depended on water to generate steam just as much in the desert as in wetter places. Note the old-style container wells with end brackets to secure the upper level containers, dating back to a time before interbox connectors were deemed sufficient to hold upper containers in place when double-stacked.
