Locomotives I wished I had seen in operation - 1

Resplendently painted UP 3rd generation Gas Turbine built by Alco-GE basks in the sun at The Illinois Railway Museum. Apparently these units which generated 8,500hp were nick named "Big Blows" for their deafening jet engine exhaust noise.
