Work-Extra in Somerville

The Keolis Northside Work-Extra returns to the B&A Eastbound behind BET in Somerville, MA after dumping ballast in Lawrence and North Andover. In the background, the 1920s "High-Line" bridge, which carries the MBTA Lowell Line over FX interlocking, is slated for replacement within the next year as part of a multiple MBTA bridge replacement project. The large crane is being used to lift large I-beams that are then pounded into the ground which will be the structural base of new bridge piers.
