Eastbound Norfolk & Western Train at Pullman Jct.

NW 3487 (ex Wabash GP9) and NW 3473 (ex WAB GP7) lead an eastbound N&W freight past the operators cabin at Pullman Jct on C & WI rails. Norfolk & Western became a part-owner of the C & WI when it took over the Wabash in 1964. N & W component Nickel Plate also passed thru Pullman Jct, operating parallel to and west of the C&WI southeast of the junction, but continuing straight northwest to the east of the cabin and crossing the C&WI and the parallel Rock Island and BRC lines. Line curving off the bottom left edge of the photo is a Rock Island connection to C&WI and N&W (NKP).
