Before they were blue-dipped - 2

A gaggle of rebuilt SD40 units arrived in early 2010 acquired from Helm Leasing. Here an ex-KCS SD40M-2 (originally built as an SD45 for Espee) and ex-Trona SD40M-2 (originally built as an SD45-2 for AT&SF) lead a GRS painted GP40 pulling eastbound train ED495 (what would be called ED-8 these days) under W Main St bridge at Ayer in the fall of 2010.
