SMS Rail Service final delivery to CP at Delanson

A very clean ex-Santa Fe B23-7 owned by SMS Rail Service per the SLRS reporting mark stenciled under the cab window brings the final 3 cars from the Northeastern Industrial Park at Guilderland for CP interchange at Delanson. Tomorrow NS will takeover ownership of this part of the ex-D&H track from CP. The short SMS train is coming off the rustic D&H Albany Main that it now leases from NS. Assuming the CSX acquisition of Pan Am happens, NS will upgrade the Albany Main including re-establishing a connection to CSX Selkirk branch to permit NS double stack/Auto rack trains to use CSX trackage rights to Ayer, avoiding the low clearance Hoosac Tunnel route. And SMS will continue to service NEIP via trackage rights.
