Amtrak Empire Express and CP RDC at BuffaloAmtrak #64, the eastbound Empire Express, originated in Detroit and operated via the now Conrail Canada Southern line via Windsor to Buffalo's Central Terminal, where the CP-TH&B RDC from Toronto and Hamilton (train #321) was waiting. Momentarily #64 will depart for New York's Grand Central Terminal. Interestingly by the end of April 1976, the famed historic train name would be changed to the sterile Niagara Rainbow.
